Bissell 1867-7 Steam Mop Hard-Floor Cleaner

  • Bissell 1867-7 Steam Mop Hard-Floor Cleaner
  • Only using steam this upright electric mop cleans your hard floor surfaces
  • Without using chemicals or having fumes or residues from cleaning you get a deep all-natural cleaning
  • Get into hard to reach places with the 360 degree swivel mop head
  • Included with the mop are 2 washable & reusable microfiber mop pads, a quick-release cord wrap, and an internal water filter.
  • The Swivel mop measures 6 inches x 11 inches x 45.25 inches and comes with a one year warranty

    Bissell 1867-7 PROS:

  • Uses no harsh chemicals or cleaning agents
  • Because you don't use chemicals you will be saving a lot of money
  • Can use plain water or distilled. Using distilled will lengthen the life of the filter.
  • Once the pads get dirty, just throw them in with the wash and clean them
  • This unit is very very easy to use, especially compared to old fashioned mops
  • Unit heats up to make steam very quickly
  • Compact and very easy to find a spot to store this small mop
  • Sturdy construction and lightweight
  • Gets really dirty floors that have been hard to clean the regular way clean the first time. I think the difference is in the steam and the pad they use.
  • Unlike regular mops this steam mop doesn't leave any streaks

    Bissell 1867-7 CONS:

  • Unit doesn't have an on/off switch
  • For people with arthritis in their hands controlling the steam may be a problem as you need to press on the handle to control the steam
  • You will probably have to use an extension cord as the cord is not very long. That seems to be how all appliances are made today.
  • You may have a problem with using too much water. Using the correct amount of water/steam is accomplished by experimenting while you are using the mop. Won't take long before you get it down pat.
  • Won't work very effectively on floors that have been waxed

    Summary:

I hate mopping floors. You have to get the cleaning chemicals mixed with the water. Then you wet the floor and try to get it clean by swishing water all over. Then you have to try to get all the water up off the floor. What a mess. Hate it. But with this mop it is almost fun to mop. Just go over the floor and the steam comes out and loosens up dirt and cleans your floor easily. It isn't that fast though, this is because you have to move over the area slowly to get it clean. But still, this is much better than using other mops as you only need to go over the spot once. Well, unless it is especially dirty it might need more than one pass. But the water left behind is minimal and will dry in seconds. Big difference is you don't use any chemicals, just plain water. The water lasts for about 15 minutes worth of mopping and it is easy to refill and get started again. If you have excess water on the floor after you are finished and want it to dry quicker, just put on a dry pad and go over with that. It will be dry in no time at all.
