Summary The recipes are great and this unit is also very easy to use. Convenient size for the kitchen. You get very uniform drying which is a big plus. Unit could use a timer and an on/off switch. Kind of annoying to always be unplugging the unit. But then again, that forces you to save energy.

Summary Provides superior dehydrating and is easy to clean. If you are sensitive to noise you might be a little annoyed with this unit. Not too loud, but it is annoying to me. You can make large quantities of beef jerky at one time without any problems. Dehydrates food in about half the time of most other dehydrators.

Summary Unit is easy to clean and can be placed in the dishwasher. However, it is very noisy, with that in mind you might want to locate it in the basement or some room far from your living room or kitchen. Unfortunately the sheets you need to make jerky and fruit leathers are not included, but you can purchase them separately from Nesco's website. This unit is very reasonably priced and is durable as it is made with plastic that is slightly flexible and doesn't break easily.
