This is one powerful and sturdy built blender. Built to last a very long time. If you want a blender for making slushies, this would be the one I would suggest. Does a fantastic job of blending frozen foods and ice cubes into slush and it does it a super speed. All this power is due to the 1/2 horsepower motor this unit uses.

This Oster Blender does everything a blender does plus it also does some of the things that a food processor does. If you want a machine that does pureeing and chopping on top of all the functions that a blender does, this is for you. I especially like the 6 blade cutter and the reversing to keep food and ice from jamming up. Besides the normal blender functions this unit also has 2 preprogrammed settings for frozen drinks and food chopping. These come in handy, especially during the summer when you want to make slushies and smoothies. A little more pricey, probably due to the added functions that the other Oster's don't have.

This is a powerful Oster blender with a 500 watt motor. Only has 2 speeds, but they suffice for most of the blending you want to do in the kitchen. It can still handle ice cubes and frozen fruit with ease. Plus it does your normal blending of smoothies and shakes. For me, making shakes or milks is the standard I look for. I love malts, and this one does a great job of that.

This is a basic Oster Blender that does all your basic blender functions at a very low cost. I didn't have any problems with blending for making slushies or grinding ice cubes. I wouldn't recommend cleaning the lid in the dishwasher as it might not hold up very well under the heat. You will have to replace some of the parts eventually, such as the gasket, lid, maybe the glass jar, blades after they get dull, etc. But, good news is that replacement parts are available at reasonable prices. When mixing your shake it only takes about ten seconds from start to finish and doesn't leave any pieces or chunks of ice behind. I love the way it gets everything blended well. This is a mid-priced Oster blender which works well for smoothies, shakes, and other blender functions. It has a powerful 450 watt motor with Oster's almost standard all-metal drive system. Being all metal gives it more longevity and strength. You get ice crushed easily with the stainless steel "ice crusher" blade they have in this unit. Overall this is an excellent blender which will hold up well over time, plus I think it has a very attractive design which would look great on any kitchen counter.

This is specifically designed to make malts and shakes and does a good job of making both. You get great stability and durability with the heavy duty die cast chrome mixer. Only takes seconds to make your shakes with the commercial designed aeration discs which do a fantastic job of mixing the contents together. Has a 28 ounce capacity stainless steel cup which will keep your shakes and malts cold. You also get a 2 speed switch control and for safety you have a safety switch which requires that you have the cup in place to operate the unit.
